the organic & drama stuff
as stated in our main post, brits is a semi-organic community. as mods, we'd much rather have people focusing on creating lines in character rather than spending days in pbads trying to round up as many meaningless lines as they can. this is not a community for blank slates to create a character based around other people's storyline needs. per the "semi" part of the word, however, we do allow you to come in with family and roommate lines. don't bring pre-established best friend, romantic sls, etc. the goal is to have everyone on the same footing when joining. we understand there are a lot of opportunities with neighbors, co-workers, etc. but for the sake of fostering an organic community we ask that you refrain before joining. after the community has been established for awhile we will open up more options, likely ooc dev activities to connect with members about co-workers and neighbors.

we also referred to in character drama and over the top characters. basically, brits would like our members to have the freedom to bring in character types that may not fit in other places. ie. pretentious, perky, asshole, shy, sweet, promiscuous.. in between. you get the gist. if you're the type to shy away from or leave a community over in character drama we may not be the community for you and that's okay.

in general
general rules at this point in time in rp should be pretty straight forward. your character journals should be in character, you need an in character and out of character post in your journal and they should be backdated. your attitude toward other members should always, always be friendly. in character drama should not be taken personally and ooc drama will not be tolerated. to join we ask that you provide us with whatever examples you can. threads are preferred, narratives too but in general we just want to see some writing.

required activity
as of right now we follow the basic update cycle: one update, one interactive post per month. interactive posts can be: instagram posts, lyrics posts, ffas, any sort of intro-type question, playlists, tag yourself, etc. posts. you get the drift. updates can be: narratives, styles, blog entries - etc. basically, anything that incorporates any kind of writing counts as an update. we have no word count but we ask that you use common sense (posting "hello!" and locking the post does not constitute an update). removals will be done at the end of every month and twice in between. we will be checking friend's lists and ones out of date more than a few sets of adds will get the boot. in order to keep dead weight out of the community, we will also hold one activity check every month.
